In an effort to make the Avocado industry’s supply and market data go to resource even better we have redesigned the website that you to use to make it easier to navigate, more versatile to create meaningful reports and far more mobile friendly. We invite you to check it out and give it a spin to see the updated graphics, the interactive charts, and of course all the data and research that you use to drive your avocado business to new heights.
Our vision was to make an effective tool even easier and more efficient to utilize.
Our task was to take meaningful and time-sensitive information and get it to you in a format you find engaging, actionable and insightful.
Our goal was to take the information and the resources that you use frequently and put it into a version that you could access on the go, from the car, from the plane, from the hotel room that you work from to run your business. We think we have achieved this goal – but it’s up to you to decide, and we are certainly interested in your feedback and thoughts on how we did.
The look is different, the feel is different, the navigation is more intuitive and easier to find the data points you are looking for. All of the important information that you have come to rely on is there and available. New sections built specifically with growers and marketers in mind, have been developed with information buckets we think are of most interest to these stakeholders, laid out in easy to reach formatting and one-click access. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, but we want all of our visitors to have the ability to let us know their thoughts on this updated resource. We are still running an online survey to get your feedback and we would appreciate you taking the time to provide your opinions to our short questionnaire.

While the concept of data sharing is as old as HAB itself, in the early days, the quality was hampered by the pervasive mistrust among the HAB partners. Yet, over time as collaboration and cooperation evolved, so did the credibility and quality of the data inputs. The key players saw the value and built the Avocado Volume and Inventory System (AVIS) which became a widely successful global industry intelligence engine providing invaluable information related to U.S. avocado supply, inventory and sales.
