Meet our Avocado Goodness Experts – Uncover How Their Influence Affects the Industry

To help make avocados America’s most popular and desired fruit by 2025, the Hass Avocado Board (HAB) forms strategic partnerships with registered dietitians to strengthen the quality and quantity of conversations about avocados amongst health professionals (HPs) who educate consumers. Known as Avocado Goodness Experts (AGEs), our spokespeople act on the insight that about half of HPs turn to other HP peers/colleagues when researching for new information on the impact of diet and nutrition on health*
To make it easy for HPs to stay informed and confident about recommending avocados, HAB arms AGEs with the latest science to share via media interviews and through podcasts and webinars accredited for continuing education. Additionally, AGEs demonstrate how to empower consumers to invest in their health with avocados through original content like delicious recipes and creative social posts. By keeping nutrition facts prominent in the news and the health benefits relatable, AGEs support the avocado industry by encouraging HPs to specifically recommend avocados to their clients when discussing fruit and vegetable options. And it’s working. The most recent tracking data shows that regular recommendations of avocados by HPs is up nearly 10% over the past three years.*
AGEs are selected based on their area of expertise, credibility and reach with fellow HPs, media, and consumers.
